Have a nice day
Disqordilicious.So... wow... My inbox has been exploding all week. I've been completely floored by the response to my little graphic story about Disqord.
I've gotten so many wonderful, beautiful, comments! I read them all, even if I do not respond to each one. I am so moved that so many people found my little story so interesting! Really, it makes me all glowy to know that I was able to hit the artistic nail on the head. Nothing is more satisfying to an artist than knowing that their work "got to people".
Many of you understood exactly what I was aiming for, and that makes me happiest of all!
Knowing that I was able to communicate my artistic vision (with a fan comic!) feels so triumphant. As I posted each page, I would read the comments and keep them in mind when painting the next page... I would put extra effort into emphasizing certain points and ideas of mine to help better communicate them. Really, all of your comments truly helped me to hone my idea and inspire me to keep up with the work. So th
Where to draw the line? Some what controversial, so beware ...and something that has been on my mind for a while... I actually want to talk about two things that are quite interlinked.
What is okay to joke about? Are there things you see as off limits? do you believe joking about something ' e.g death, murder, drugs, rape, homosexuality, gender, religion, historical events etc' is good or bad?
Do you believe jokes supply relief, help soften attached stigmas and make issue easier to talk about? or do you believe they minimize the issue and do more damage than good? 'e.g referring a girl as a 'bitch', simply because she is a girl, implying someone getting beaten at something is getting 'gang raped', using the word 'gay' to describe unpleasantness or someone being an idiot/lame.
I myself joke about everything, there is little I won't joke about but I am sensitive to whom I tell these jokes too, usually close friends or people I know won't be offended by them. (obviously there are some topics I conside

Why repetition pays off (minitut from tumblr)(this is all copypasta from my Tumblr. I post many minitutorials there, which I will sooner or later post on dA once I get the time and effort.)
Repetition is ALWAYS good. It will NEVER look good the first time, kids.
I practiced some gesture drawing, by using Glen Keane's sketches from Disney's Tarzan. This is the first reference:
This is one of many examples of why all artists tell you to "keep practicing and drawing".
And as you can see, even I need to repeat the same things a second time.
I made some notes to show you where I did wrong on the first example, scribbling down notes on your own studies is recommended. I mean, you can't keep everything in your head all the time.
Another, a bit more advanced, example:
Here's another try on Tarzans anatomy. This time it's not so much about the proportions that's wrong with the first picture - it is quite okay if we ignore the left arm.
However, what I find a bit wrong is that it has the wrong
What makes the perfect horrorI loooooovvvveeeee talking about movies...so that is what I shall do...
Just watched Paranormal activity 3...my god it was terrible but then again I don't have a clue why I was expecting much .... It was a boring repeat of both the first movies and even tried to entwine the 'scary cult' effect :iconyawnplz:... The only movies that I think pull of the documentary or home-video gone wrong is the remake or original version of rec. and The Blair Witch Project. I am quite nit picky with movies and I don't find many/ if any movies scary but one I remember giving me chills was the movie The Langoliers made from the novel by Steven King, this could have been because I was 8-9 at the time
I find movies where the 'antagonist or evil force' stays hidden or is never revealed to be the best since this draws on the fear of the unknown while your cookie cutter Hollywood movies need to have all kinds of gory special effects and scary monsters in an attempt to scare viewers. I was quite the hor

A quick guide in how to make a nice galleryI've seen many people, mostly young teenagers between 13-16, who rants in their journals about lack of feedback on their drawings.
Many, if not all, of these people think it's because they aren't good enough in drawing to be the reason.
But you don't actually need to be a "god" at drawing to achieve feedback on your gallery.
A lot lies in how you display your deviations in your featured gallery-folder.
The first thing you have to ask yourself is:
"Am I here for the community, or to show my art?"
Because if you prefer being here just as an art-appreciator and get online-friends. Then you maybe don't care about your gallery so much.
But if you wanna get feedback on your art, improve, and get some watchers, you really need to show the internet that you are serious. And that is hard to achieve with a mediocre gallery.
So here comes a list of obvious "DO" and "DO NOT".
Expect that people will give you feedback in the first place.
Because they won't unless the

Let's make this short... France was awesome! Saw all must-see things like the Eiffel tower, Mona Lisa, Notre Dame, Etc... How can one city have so many famous things?! You bet my feet are killing me! One week is certainly not enough...
And of course... DISNEYLAND WAS FRIKIN' AWESOME! We went there at the moment it opened and stayed there till the closing time. I chat with Jack Sparrow and Jasmine. Saw many other character. Spent almost 150 euros on plushies and toys (I REGRET NOTHING!!!). Tried many rides... We really chose a great day to visit the park because there weren't many people there that day. I only had to wait 5 minutes to get to the space mountain. (U jelly?)) And the day had a perfect ending at the Disney Village with a huge fire work show... Aah... I finally made my childhood dream come true. And as they said in Tangled, the best thing about making your dream come true, is that you get to choose a new dream (or

Teenage TaoismGiving birth is the closest I’d ever felt to dying.
Before that, my near death experiences had consisted only of my silent announcement of pregnancy—silent, being that my social media accounts were all deleted almost simultaneously and I never returned to school in the fall, saying without really saying that I had caught the malicious disease of “teenage pregnancy”. I’m sure the whisper spread in the hallways like the Bubonic Plague. That September, sitting at home on what would have been the first day of my senior year, I imagined friends I’d never talk to again saying “she was only seventeen, and so full of life!” at my absence in the cafeteria tables, as if they were attending my funeral instead of talking about me behind my back.
"Full of life," I had snorted then, folding a never ending stream of what had once been my own baby clothes. "Literally."
I walked around like a zombie for the months of my pregnancy, deciding t
